Looking For Funding To Start Or Grow Your Business?

If you are looking for business finance, even if you have already been refused funding from a mainstream lender, such as a bank or building society, VSBS Advisers can help you access other sources of finance – including Start Up Loans – and increase your chances of securing the finance you need.  Our expert Advisers will:

  • Tell you about the types of finance available and helping you decide which are the most suitable

  • Assist you in preparing a viable, effective business plan

  • Help to organise your financial plans and projections

  • Review and monitor your progress

If you are thinking about starting a business or have been trading under 2 years, you could be eligible for a Start Up Loan (see details below).  If you fall outside this eligibility criteria, our Advisers can still help you access other sources of loan finance.  Please call VSBS on 0307 00 1067 – 69 (Ghana) to make an appointment.

Start Up Loans

Start Up Loans is a government initiative which aims to make finance available to people who are either looking to start their own business or are within the first two years of trading.  This service is delivered by VSBS working in partnership with selected finance houses in Africa.

To apply for a loan you should be:

  • aged over 18

  • living in Ghana

  • looking to start a business, or you can be trading (under 3 years)

How Does It Work?

The amount you can borrow can vary – from GH 500 to GH 25,000, the average amount is around GH 5,000. The loan can be repaid over a period from 1 to 5 years at a total interest rate of 39% APR.  VSBS Advisers will work with you to complete your business proposal, providing impartial advice and support, increasing your chance of securing funding.
